A crawling mechanical snake sits on your wrist in this luxury watch
A timepiece for celebrating the New Year
SNAKE Watch by Zbioland is a luxury time piece to celebrate the 2025 Chinese Year of the Snake.
Kickstarter campaigns feature many intriguing projects, but one that truly stands out is the SNAKE Watch by Zbioland. This unique timepiece displays the time by wrapping a mechanical snake around your wrist. The watch was designed to celebrate the Chinese Year of the Snake in 2025. Zbioland, a luxury watchmaker based in Singapore, created this watch with a bicycle-style chain curved like a serpent that continuously moves through a system of 12 cogs. Additionally, it includes the option to turn off the snake feature, likely as a safety precaution to prevent dizziness.
Minimal Features
Don't expect much as far as features are concerned, because this is a back-in-the-day time piece. Beyond the snake, the watch is water-resistant up to 164 ft.. Don't concern yourself with charging, because you wind the watch by the outer rim, which last 38 hours, so stay on top of it if you want to get to work on time. Essentially your gaining a new day and a half chore. It has a Grade 5 Titanium case which is beautiful, a sapphire crystal cover and of course you can tell time. The time feature is actually separate from the snake. Beyond that, you get no heart rate monitoring, no GPS. The snake feature is it.
SNAKE Watch by Zbioland: Uses an independent spring-loaded wind-up system that powers the watch for up to 38 hours.
Pricing says it all
If you enjoy what you've read, get your credit card ready, because it will cost you. It is clearly a niche market item, priced at $2.998.00! Yes that's in US dollars. If you celebrate Chinese New Year, it serves a purpose.
